Host A Mother’s Day Brunch

Ah, moms. They are truly the best. Mothers spend their life doing anything and everything in their power to ensure their children are happy and healthy. Way more so than themselves. Mother’s Day only comes once a year, and it’s a chance to go above and beyond to show her how much she means to you. So here are some great ways to pamper that special woman in your life!

First off, compile a small list of personal guests your mother will be thrilled to be around, and mail out basic invitations/allow them to RSVP online. Make the design simple yet elegant, with a handwritten message enticing people to come. This part depends on your budget, but for the most special woman in your life, she’s worth it!

Between family, friends, and the internet, you can make it happen!

Next, make sure your kitchen is well stocked with the proper ingredients to prepare the perfect brunch. Plan out recipes for her favorite foods, make a list of items ahead of time, and shop at least a day in advance. If you’re wondering what would be nice for the brunch menu, here are some great recipes we’ve compiled:

If your mother is anything like mine, she will attempt to pick up any fork or spoon she spots, and immediately try to help you. Don’t let her! Give her a computer or tablet to shop online with or turn on Netflix so she can watch the newest season of Grace and Frankie.

We highly recommend it.

The decoration is almost as important as the food preparation. If your mother loves flowers, grab her favorite ones and display them as the centerpiece on the dinner table. Find or craft little trinkets to set the table with. A vibrant tablecloth with flowers and colorful plate settings will make your food pop. Find vintage dinnerware that has been stored away or find a nice set online. We also recommend creating a hand-made Mother’s Day card and placing it on her plate so she will be pleasantly surprised. Don’t simply buy the card and sign it, show her how much you really care!

Doesn’t have to be over-the-top, but it’s certainly the way to go.

With these fundamental steps taken, you are now ready to host your Mother’s Day brunch! The more personal, the better.
